Because nothing screams love thy neighbor as thyself like:

It’s funny how many Christians will say, “if you’re pro-choice, you can’t be a real Christian,” or “you can’t be a true Christian and support the LGBTQ+ community,” and will use the Bible as the basis for these beliefs.

Yet these same individuals will openly support pedophiles, rapists, and liars. Violence, racism, sexism, hatred, dissension, kidnapping 5 year old children, the deaths of people like Renee Good, Geraldo Lunas Campos, and Alex Pretti, abuse of women and children in the church, bullying people online – somehow these same folks never seem to question if those who participate in these sins are true Christians. Even though, the Bible says that people like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Insert: Isabella Moody.

Influencers like Moody are wolves in wolf’s clothing. Or perhaps a better description would be she’s a sheep in wolf’s clothing.

Rather than having a worldview based on Scripture and allowing the Bible to dictate their character, behavior, and attitudes towards others, those like Moody reflect the current cultural climate. They are followers and do as sheeple do, which is follow whatever their leaders do.

Because our current political leaders are unintelligent lying bullies, Isabella Moody and many other “Christians” are unintelligent lying bullies. They spread falsehoods, twist scripture, and ignore those who point out their hypocrisy all in the name of Jesus.

Amen?

Their lack of Christian character isn’t limited to fat-shaming and rage-baiting online. However, callous tweets like this reveal many of those who claim Christ is King don’t act like Christ is actually their King.

Jesus says, “[b]y this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” The Bible says,“…[t]eacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?’ Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Galatians tells us to walk by the Spirit, and that, “[t]he acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Furthermore, Jesus says if we love Him, we will obey His commands (John 14: 15), and He warns against false prophets, “[b]eware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits… every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.  Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

The Bible illuminates on what these elusive fruits are, “the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

So, the Bible is rather clear here.

Those who belong to Christ have crucified their flesh and display the fruits of the spirit as well as possess a love for those around them, even their enemies. This version of Christianity seems pretty incompatible with Christian Nationalism.

Yet, the American church acts nothing like Jesus. I’ve seen more dissertations from Christians defending the murder of Alex Pretti and insisting that Romans 13 means God would be okay with ICE kidnapping a 5 year old child to lure his parents into custody then I have ever seen them any of them ever talk about Jesus Christ.

Similarly, all the folks who claimed Epstein didn’t kill himself, freaked out about pizzagate, and cried over The Sound of Freedom have literally nothing to say now.

Their silence is truly telling.

human trafficking is real except when someone you voted for is allegedly involved in it

This hypocrisy is the natural result of idolatry, and likely why we’ve seen a rise mean behavior and lies in Influencers like Moody, and other clowns like Matt Walsh and Dale Partridge. These people ignore any valid criticism of their own hypocrisy, and position themselves as spiritual and moral authorities using the Bible as the basis for their morality and authority on moral issues.

Not the whole Bible though. Just the parts that personally benefit them or are easy to advocate for. Like 1 in 4 women/girls will experience sexual abuse during their life time and something like 1-6 boys/men, child poverty is something like 10% in the US alone. Yet, how many times has Dale Partridge of RelearnHQ preached on either of these topics?

Meanwhile, I can find a zillion sermons from him on why wearing leggings is a sin, even though modesty in that way isn’t even mentioned in the Bible. The world has some serious problems the church could be tackling, yet they’d rather argue about books, leggings, and bathrooms.

This is why it’s important to read the Bible daily, spend time with God, and not rely on others to tell you how to live. A hearty knowledge of Scripture allows you to easily decipher between what the Bible actually says and what is simply someone’s opinion.

Furthermore, our goal as Christians is not demonize and alienate people, but to bring them to Christ and disciple them so that they look like Christ.

Christians are to love our enemies and turn the other cheek. We are called to leave vengeance to God. Sure, you can lie and troll online. Just stop calling yourself a Christian while doing so.

Saying Jesus is King on Twitter, going to church, dressing modestly, marrying young, having lots of kids, living the trad life, and being pro-life do not make one a Christian. Nor does the Bible list these things anywhere as evidence that one is a true Christian.

What makes one a Christian is a belief in Jesus Christ, that He is both Savior and Lord.

Jesus loves us – He is our Savior.

Jesus is Lord – we obey His commands given to us by Scripture.

If one is truly walking with God, there will be evidence of that in the way they live. This is why the Bible says they will know us by the love we have for one another.

Arbitrarily deciding which parts of the Bible to follow renders all of Scripture useless. As a Christian, you either believe in the entire Bible or you don’t. If you ignore the parts of the Bible that tell you to honor the sabbath, care for the poor, not allow the rich to exploit others, and to treat the foreigner well, then you have no footing to use that same Bible to claim that abortion is wrong. Yet, time and time again the American church does just that.

Now, anytime someone critiques Christian character, someone goes:

“Nobody’s perfect!”

“Only God cAn JuDGe mE!”

“But-but David wasn’t perfect and was a man after God’s own heart!”

“Moses wasn’t perfect! He didn’t even get to the Promised Land!”

This is a cope, and there’s a difference between messing up and genuinely repenting (turning away from one’s sin) vs. continually engaging in sinful behavior and ignoring or concealing the sinful behavior of others because that person benefits you.

If Christians perpetually dismiss their own hypocrisy with mumblings like, “nobody is perfect,” then what right do Christians have to judge unbelievers for also being imperfect? And what forms of imperfection are acceptable in the American church?

Christians will happily welcome and promote abusers of women and children because hey nobody is perfect and God forgives! Cheating, child sexual abuse, violence, lying, exploiting the poor for your own gain, hurting children, ignoring the widow – all of that apparently falls under the umbrella of God uses imperfect folks to do His Will. But being a gay Christian is apparently where God being able to use the flawed ends?

The church has a serious problem and it isn’t the theys, gays, and feminists. It’s that the American church behaves no differently from those they criticize and therefore it is ineffective as a moral agent within society. One can be a good person and not be a Christian. One can be a terrible person and also be a Christian.

Consequently, the sort of goodness that Christians display should look very different from the goodness of the world. Do those like Isabella Moody, Matt Walsh, Dale Partridge, and so on really believe they are accurately representing Jesus with their platforms, character, actions, and words? No. Because they aren’t really in it for the Gospel, they’re in it for their own gain and Christians are an easy group to cater to. All one needs to be is pro-life and anti–woke to lock in their support.

While Moody is fairly harmless and unintelligent, she does represent a growing number of Christians online who are normalizing deviant behavior while claiming to follow Christ. These folks are loud, cruel, and their character nothing like the God they claim to serve.

And as they keep moving the line and normalizing deviant attitudes, eventually they’ll find themselves on the same side of the road as those they once criticized.

Already we that this. The same conservative moms who were so passionately angry in 2016 about human trafficking are now saying, ‘well the kids were 14 and not 7 so obviously abusing, raping, and trafficking them isn’t that bad!’

conservatives vs. the liberals they criticize

However, the Bible does not change, because God does not change. Consequently, as Christians we should hold the line and stand for truth, justice, equality, and love even when it’s not popular to do so.

Anyway, to end this rambling nonsense nobody will read. Here’s Isabella Moody, in her own words.

Maybe it’s time you start acting like it, girl.
